Terms & demo policy

Delivery is free for vehicles purchased in Fredericton or Moncton (including Dieppe and Riverview).

When you book a test drive, a $100 deposit is collected. This deposit functions as a delivery fee. If you go on to purchase the vehicle, the $100 is credited toward your purchase price — making your delivery effectively free. If you decide not to purchase, the $100 deposit is retained to cover the cost of bringing the vehicle to you and back.

For any delivery outside Fredericton and Greater Moncton, an additional $1.25 per kilometre distance fee applies, calculated from our Moncton centre to your delivery address. This distance fee is non-refundable and is separate from the $100 deposit.

The 7-day demo lets you live with your Steed before you fully commit. It works like this:

At delivery you pay the full purchase price of the vehicle, plus a $400 demo fee. You then have 7 calendar days and up to 300 kilometres to decide whether to keep it.

If you return the vehicle within both the 7-day window and the 300 km limit, in the same condition it was delivered, we refund everything you paid except the $400 demo fee. In other words, for $400 you can effectively try the car for a week.

If you exceed 300 kilometres, keep the vehicle past 7 days, or otherwise fall outside these limits, the demo is void, the sale is final, and the vehicle is yours. Because full payment was taken upfront, no further action is needed — the deal is simply complete.

Your actual rate, term, and payment are confirmed when you complete pre-qualification with our New Brunswick lending partners. Pre-qualification uses a soft credit check that does not affect your credit score.

While a vehicle is in your possession — during a test drive or throughout the 7-day demo — you are fully responsible for it. This includes, without limitation:

• Any collision, accident, or physical damage to the vehicle, however caused;
• Theft, loss, or vandalism while in your care;
• All traffic, parking, toll, and other violations, and any associated fines or penalties;
• Any law violation committed while operating the vehicle.

You agree to carry valid insurance and a valid driver's licence at all times the vehicle is in your possession. If the vehicle is damaged, you forfeit the right to return it under the 7-day demo and the sale becomes final; the demo is null and void and the vehicle is yours as-is. Steed Motors is not liable for any loss, injury, or expense arising from your operation of the vehicle.

A returned demo vehicle must be brought back within the 7-day / 300 km limits, free of new damage, with all keys, accessories, and documents provided at delivery. On a valid return we refund the full amount paid less the $400 demo fee (and less any applicable distance fee already incurred) to your original payment method, typically within 5–7 business days.

The $100 test-drive deposit is refundable up until the deposit is applied to a purchase or retained as a delivery fee as described above.
